ABOUT THE EVENT

Every four years, Canada’s curling elite are challenged to be the best they can be - to compete for the right to represent our country in the pinnacle of all international sporting competitions! However, to get there, Canada’s best men’s & women’s teams must compete head-to-head at the Roar of the Rings - the Canadian Men’s & Women’s Curling Trials.

From December 3 - 11 2005, curling fans can look forward to the Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings in Halifax. The field will include the current Canadian and World Women’s Champions, the Colleen Jones team as well as the reigning Canadian Men’s champions, the Mark Dacey team - one of the front-runners in the men’s division. The 2005 Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings has more local flavour than any other national curling event ever held in Atlantic Canada - this is as exciting as it gets for local sports fans.

The fans will become swept away in the wave of emotion that is generated when the very best are out to prove they are better than all the rest! And when the final two teams are standing on the gold medal podium, the heart-pounding excitement will remind you that you have just witnessed one of the great spectacles in Canadian sports.

Best of all, the party is included! Your ticket package also includes complimentary admission to the Keith’s Patch - the Roar of the Rings version of the infamous Brier Patch Pub - located right next door in the World Trade & Convention Centre. It will rock every day ’til the wee hours with the best of music and entertainment Atlantic Canada has to offer. This will be the place to let loose after watching the pressure-packed curling, or to catch up with some old friends to the best live entertainment!

There’s nothing else in curling like the Roar of the Rings!
