This is huge … Chances are that there are tournament games going on around the corner of your house, at a curling rink near you and in Manitoba .. so, go out and give some cheer for some great teams and watch some great curling games! I’m sure your local rink has a schedule .. All the rinks and teams were listed a few weekends back in our Winnipeg Free Press sports section …

Success for NZ curling team | TORINO 2006| ONE SPORT | tvnz.co.nz

New Zealand’s Olympic curling team has tasted success prior to the 2006 Torino Winter Olympics by winning a tournament in Canada.

As a part of their preperations the the February Games, the team of Sean Becker, Hans Frauenlob, Dan Mustapic, Lorne DePape and Warren Dobson, went undefeated in winning the 32 team Brantford “Big Chief” curling tournament.
