Source: Canadian Curling Association - NewsThe Calgary Curling Club will be hosting the 2008 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship, November 10-16, 2007. This Canadian Championship is a significant event in the curling season, and will ultimately lead to the crowning of a new National Mixed Champion. Two players from the winning team will also represent Canada at the first World Mixed Doubles Championship, March 9-15, 2008 in Vierumäki, Finland.
The team representing Alberta at this year’s event is Dean Ross, Susan O’Connor, Tim Krassman and Susan Wright, hometown favourite from the Calgary Curling Club. The nine other Provincial teams plus Yukon/Northwest Territories and Northern Ontario will play a round robin format, with the first place team advancing to the finals while the second and third placed teams compete in the semi-finals.
